SARSIA LIFE SCIENCE FUND




The venture fund was established in 2005 and completed its second closing in 2006 with €40 million to invest in companies in the Nordic region. The fund has a pure life sciences/ biotechnology focus:

 

Life sciences / biotechnology
- Diagnostics
- Medical technology
- Nutraceuticals
 
Fund structure
The fund is a closed end fund investing in companies with an exit horizon of three to five years. In each company, the fund will make milestone based instalments totalling 8-40 MNOK from initial engagement until divestment.
 
We actively pursue strategic alliance and consolidation opportunities to facilitate the growth and development of our portfolio companies.
 

The fund is managed by Sarsia Venture Management, which also advises the fund in their investment decisions. The fund has a strong industrial and academic advisory board.
